During the two days the Poles celebrate bank holiday that gives time and opportunity for contemplation. Especially important, during this time, is remembrance to all those who died. Visitors to cemeteries embellish graves with flowers and candles.
Barborka, the nameday of Barbara
Nameday is a traditional celebration, similar to birthday, that is spent among relations and friends. St Barbara's nameday offers, however, balls, feasts and orchestra marches that take place on that day, especially in Silesia region where there are many mines.
